Other options include Flambe Dry Bak Kut Teh, Kurobota Pork Char Siew and Crispy Cereal Prawns (S$55 for two primary dishes and two glasses of Singapore Sling).

Racines at Sofitel Singapore City Centre is besides getting in on the festivities. The restaurant has launched a National Mean solar day Set Lunch and Dinner. For lunch (from S$32++ per pax), opt for the Boiled Fish Soup or Chilli Crab in Pie Tee Shell as your appetiser. Headlining the mains is a selection of either Kong Bak Pau or Nyonya Assam Fish served with Fragrant Rice. To circular off the meal, cull from two locally-inspired desserts: Mango Sago or Chendol.

Start with savoury treats such equally SKAI's take on the local favourite Kueh Pie Tee, crafted with King crab, braised turnip and coriander.
